Four Reasons To Choose Us

1. Respect for Whales and Their Environment

We are proud to be the only Alaskan company and one of only two in the USA companies to be given certification by World Cetacean Alliance as a responsible whale watching company. The WCA is the world’s largest network of experts on whale and dolphin watching. Our partners include whale watch tour operators, NGOs, scientists, and educators. This global certification represents the international standard for responsible whale watching, developed by the industry, for the industry. Certification is based on the WCA’s Global Guidelines overseen by an international panel with specialist knowledge. Customers of our tours can be confident they are travelling with the very best whale and dolphin watching experiences in the world! Not only do we operate with the utmost care for local wildlife, sustainability, and the customer experience, we also donate $1 of every ticket sold to whale and dolphin conservation and community awareness projects run locally and internationally.

2. We Specialize Exclusively In Wildlife Expeditions

Unlike other companies, the only trips we run are small group wildlife expeditions, which is important when you're choosing a nature-focused expedition. We deploy a hydrophone to eavesdrop on the songs and calls of whales and other marine mammals. Ride comfortably aboard custom built 43-foot, expedition-style catamaran with a spacious, heated cabin, equipped with deluxe seating, a restroom and galley.  Viewing opportunities are facilitated by large wrap-around windows and an expansive open-air deck.  High-quality binoculars are always on hand for abundant wildlife sightings, as well as comprehensive viewing guides. Snacks and beverages are provided.

3. Unique Itineraries You Won't Find Anywhere Else

Our specialized expeditions possess resources and insight not available to other tour companies. We know meaningful nature encounters must take place in small groups and this intimacy has the power to protect nature, benefit communities and preserve cultural heritage—principles we view not only as our goal, but our responsibility. Therefore, expeditions are limited to 4 guests for photography expeditions and 6 guests for wildlife and birding expeditions so we can personalize this bucket list trip ideally for you!

4. Great Expedition Leaders Make All The Difference

All our staff offers interpretive insight into the multitude of wildlife you'll encounter. They average more than 10 years’ guiding experience each and receive additional training from top scientists. They are not “ship lecturers” or full-time charter fishing guides. Rather, they are the Alaska’s most qualified, dedicated and passionate natural history guides, regaling our guests with their insights into the region while remaining close at hand to ensure safety and comfort in every respect.
